A great 'ripping' yarn though is The King's Speech may Viva remind you of Derek Jarman's 1991 film Edward II . And no matter where one stands in regards the film's themes, it remains one of Brit cinema's masterpieces and remarkably hasn't dated a bit. You'd never know that it was shot on a shoe-string budget. The cinematographer relates on a DVD extra how Jarman (in quite ill health) would regale the cast and crew with tales of Princess Margaret's rather more than risqué parties.
